Cloyd Thomas Jr. is now associate general manager of the VITAS Healthcare team that provides hospice care to patients and their families throughout Broward County, Florida.
Thomas, an Ohio native, comes to the nation’s leading provider of end-of-life care from a managerial career in finance, business services, customer service and healthcare sectors.

Before joining VITAS in 2020, Thomas was a dedicated center manager for Chen Senior Medical in South Florida, director of the wound healing and hyperbaric program at Knox Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and financial services supervisor for Cardinal Health in Dublin, Ohio. In previous roles, he worked as team manager for JPMorgan Chase and area customer service manager for Pitney Bowes.
Thomas earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Toledo in Ohio and a master’s degree in business administration from Ohio Dominican University in Columbus.
VITAS delivers quality end-of-life care to hospice patients and their families at home throughout Broward County from its offices in Miramar and Deerfield Beach. Patients whose symptoms cannot be managed at home may receive comfort-focused care at one of four area inpatient hospice units.
